# Petr Cech Joins London Rivals Arsenal

Arsenal have completed the signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea for a reported fee of £10.9m. Cech’s future has been one of the stories of the summer following a disappointing season at Chelsea. Despite adding another Premier League winners’ medal and another League Cup trophy to his name, Cech saw much of the action this season, from the bench.

With only a handful of appearances, Cech has been left frustrated but he has impressed when he has been called upon by Jose Mourinho. The 33 year old was reportedly a target for Manchester United and PSG.

Petr Cech admitted previously it would be tough to leave London, after joining Chelsea in 2004, it would have been tough to relocate his family outside of London.  Cech previously said: *“If I move it brings difficulties.* *We must change everything, looking for housing, a school for children and so on.”* According to the Express.

It was clear to see a deal was imminent after Czech Republic team-mate Tomas Rosicky took to Instagram to welcome Petr Cech to Arsenal. As well as former Arsenal defender Lauren, doing the same on Twitter.
