# Chelsea Line Up January Bid for Another French International

After endless rumours linking Chelsea with a move for Juventus and France midfielder, [Paul Pogba](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-eye-record-transfer-splurge-6326253), Jose Mourinho’s side are now being linked with Newcastle’s [Moussa Sissoko](https://www.footmercato.net/premier-league/transferts/info-fm-les-verites-du-clan-sissoko-sur-le-mercato_161263) according to Foot Mercato.

The report suggests that Chelsea and Man City had a £17m bid rejected during the summer and the Premier League champions will re-ignite their interest in the midfielder during the January transfer window.

More reports have emerged that Pogba did [reject](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercato/03-09-2015/pogba-si-preso-juventus-il-no-chelsea-85-milioni-1201211404015.shtml) a move to Chelsea this summer, with the mega-money that has been reported, Sissoko would seemingly be the cheaper option.

Sissoko offers a player proven in the Premier League, as well as offering Mourinho versatility. The French international has featured mostly on the right-hand side of Newcastle’s midfield, as well as being able to play a more central role.
