# FIFA 16 Demo: First Impressions on Chelsea

The FIFA 16 demo launched on the 8th September and we’ve given it a spin to see how the game has changed and more importantly how Chelsea as a team have changed. We’ve looked at what the strengths and weaknesses of the Chelsea team are in the game this year. Here is what we have made of the first glimpses of the game.

After setting up a kick-off match against French giants, PSG in the famous Santiago Bernabeu, aesthetic changes were clear to see with a lovely new pre-match feature. Now, onto the players, it is worth noting that at this point in the game, transfers have not been completely updated. Chelsea is without the likes of Pedro and Baba Rahman, whilst the likes of Cuadrado and Romeu remain in the squad.

It is clear to see Chelsea will have one of the best midfielders in the game on their hands in Nemanja Matic. The tenacious midfielder broke up play in the midfield excellently and retained possession well, the Serbian midfielder dictated the game. The boost in rating for Matic was well deserved after such a solid campaign during the title-winning season.

Matic joins a balanced and creative midfield within the game, Oscar and Willian provide work rate and skill within the midfield. As well as this, you have the magnificent Eden Hazard who will be a tricky customer for any opponent you face.

What Chelsea also boast, is a very exciting young lower rated striker in Bertrand Traore. Traore, rated at 74, is a speedy striker and could be very useful on the counter attack.

With 87 acceleration and 83 sprint speed, combined with 4\* skill moves, Traore could be one of the most popular lower rated players in this years’ edition of FIFA. At the age of 20, he has time to develop into one of the best players at the club for any career mode fans.

A slight worry for any users playing with Chelsea could be the defence. The lack of speed from Branislav Ivanovic left Chelsea exposed down the right-hand side, with the defender often relying on the high defensive work rate of Willian to get him out of trouble.

The defence may be a little shakey (how realistic!), but you will not be short of creating chances. Combine that with the pace and power of Diego Costa, you will not struggle to find the back of the net.

Chelsea will be a very enjoyable team to use in this years’ FIFA and provide you with a chance to play good football in a creative team. Once the full game is published, the addition of Pedro will add speed and technical abilities to the team, as well as added depth to the defence through Baba Rahman.
