# Falcao has no confidence at Chelsea

Colombia boss Jose Pekermen believes Radamel Falcao needs to “rediscover his confidence” during the international break, after limited opportunities so far at Chelsea.

According to [The Independent](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/radamel-falcao-colombia-coach-jose-pekerman-says-striker-has-lost-his-confidence-at-chelsea-a6685781.html), Pekermen believes the lack of “continuity” has resulted in the striker losing his confidence, something the Colombia coach is hoping he rediscovers ahead of this evening’s fixture with Peru.

He said:

> Falcao is coming to play 90 minutes after a lot of time at his club \[Chelsea\] having few opportunities, 15 or 20 minutes, in games that are in development; and that’s cost him not having continuity.

Falcao has had a tough time at Stamford Bridge after joining The Blues on loan from AS Monaco during the summer. The striker will be looking to impress, as Chelsea have the option to buy the striker.

The Colombia international has scored just one goal in eight appearances in all competitions this season, making just two starts. The lack of consistency from Mourinho looks to be affecting Falcao and his levels of performance.

But Pekermen believes Falcao can turn his fortunes around this season. What do you think? If Falcao could get a few goals under his belt, will it all change?

> We all know his capabilities, and I see he still has the will to fight, to reverse the situation, with that spirit of wanting to reach his best performance.

> We need that rebellion and that ability to want to fight, and if so we have hope he recovers his best form and we can take it into account. We always have the hope that he rediscovers his confidence. He always deserves to be called up.
