# Mourinho predicted bad results

Jose Mourinho says he always knew bad results would come his way at some stages at his career.

Speaking during his[pre-match press conference](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/616638/Jose-Mourinho-predicted-bad-results-Porto-Chelsea), ahead of Chelsea’s home game against Ukrainian side, Dynamo Kyiv.

Mourinho admits, he knew early on in his career he would have to go through a spell like he is now with Chelsea. Bad results aren’t something the manager dubbed as ‘the special one’ is used to.

The manager was reminded by a friend of something he had said during the press conference which followed his Champions League victory with FC Porto way back in 2004, over 10 years ago.

He said:

> A friend sent me some quotes of my press conference after the Champions League final in May 2004, I said that one day in my career bad results will come.

The Portuguese’s Chelsea side currently sit 15th in the Premier League and go into two big games against Kyiv and Stoke in the Premier League with his job on the line.

He went on to add:

> In my career the bad results will come and I will face the bad results with the same honesty and dignity that I’m facing (them) now as European champion. I’ve been waiting 11 years for this. It took time, but came in a moment where I am stable and I am strong to face it.

So, Mourinho clearly knew this time was coming but is he prepared for it? Is he the man to transform Chelsea’s season?
