# Zola: My dream job is Chelsea, but Mourinho will save them

In a recent interview with [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11973489/Gianfranco-Zola-It-is-my-dream-to-manage-Chelsea-but-Jose-Mourinho-can-get-them-out-of-trouble.html), Gianfranco Zola has revealed his love for Chelsea, and that it one of his main ambitions to become manager of The Blues in the close future.

The Italian has revealed his dream whilst managing Qatar Stars League side Al Arabi, of which he joined over the summer.

> My dream, let us say my ambition, is to be Chelsea manager some day in the future.

Over the seven years he spent at Chelsea, he became a big name amongst the fans, scoring 59 goals in 229 appearances for the club, and it’s fair to say that the forward is just as fond of the club as he was those many years ago.

The Italian magician has had managerial spells with Watford and West Ham, of course, but Chelsea is something Zola has aspired for since his playing career came to a close.

With the club’s current status somewhat in turmoil, Zola has been affected massively, but the fans, team, manager and club must stay united.

> It’s very painful because you don’t want to see a team like Chelsea go through such a difficult time, I feel for the club, I feel for the supporters and I feel for the manager.
>
> But I believe that the team, the club and the coach have the qualities to get out of this position. As long as they stick to each other then there is a very good possibility that they will get out of their problems.
>
> What is important is that they find a bond. Mourinho is a manager who has given a lot to the club and the bond is strong. With a bond there are no problems, only solutions. These are the moments in which everyone is tested and I really hope that for the sake of the team and the club they find their way out of this.

All of which sounds fine but what exactly does “finding their way out” equate to? Languishing in 15th in the Premier League, can the club’s supporters expect to see the European elite visiting Stamford Bridge next season in the Champions League?

> It will be very difficult because there are so many teams in front of them, but it is still a possibility.
