# Chelsea ready to sell academy starlet?

Chelsea could be open to letting Charly Musonda move to AS Monaco according to the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/monaco-plot-transfer-swoop-chelsea-6768437).

The report suggests that the French side are looking to try and seal a deal for Charly Musonda on a permanent basis after the Premier League champions have failed to incorporate youngsters into the first-team.

According to the report, Monaco failed with a £10m bid during the summer for Musonda, who also attracted interest from London rivals Arsenal. Chelsea reportedly convinced the Belgian midfielder to stay, with the lure of first-team football. After that failed to materialise, the report suggests Chelsea could let the midfielder go.

Monaco will now look to land Musonda in January, initially on a permanent deal. Musonda is held in high regard at Stamford Bridge and is one of the brightest talents from the exciting Chelsea academy.

If the French side fails in their attempts to land him permanently, they will try to land Musonda on loan for the remainder of the season.

Monaco currently already have Mario Pasalic on loan, who has impressed since joining the Ligue 1 side.
