Hazard was praised by Jose Mourinho after the game, and the manager hailed his performance as [‘his best of the season’.](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/623000/Chelsea-boss-Jose-Mourinh-Eden-Hazard-best-game-Tottenham-Blues-CFC-News)

After playing as a number 10 against Norwich and on the left wing against Maccabi Tel-Aviv, the Belgian playmaker started as a lone striker against Spurs. Mourinho decided to drop Diego Costa and play without a recognised striker.

Hazard has struggled to find the form of last season but is slowly showing signs of brilliance.

He said:

> A draw is a good result but I think we deserved to score a goal to cap off a good performance, in the first half Oscar gave a great cross to me which I headed over. We didn’t have a lot of chances but Hugo Lloris stopped a volley from me which was a beautiful save.

When asked about the position he would like to play, he replied:

> I have played on the left, on the right, recently in the number 10 role, and I just enjoy playing. I know to give my all wherever I am on the pitch.

Hazard also revealed the club’s ambitions for the rest of the season:

> We want to finish in the top four and we know it’s difficult but we will try. We will continue to work hard and continue to take pleasure from our game.
