# Marquinhos open to a move to Chelsea

Brazilian defender Marquinhos is open to a move to Chelsea, according to reports in [France](https://www.buzzsport.fr/buzz/foot/psg-mercato-une-bonne-nouvelle-venue-de-mourinho-23068).

The 21-year old was [linked](https://readchelsea.com/2015/08/30/marquinhos-enquiry-dismissed/) with a move to Chelsea in the summer, and it appears that manager Jose Mourinho will look to sign him once again if he is unable to bring his number one target, John Stones, to the club.

The defender has started just six of PSG’s 15 Ligue 1 games this season and is reportedly becoming frustrated at the lack of game time he is getting in the French capital.

It is no surprise to learn that Chelsea are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements. Mourinho’s men have conceded 23 goals in 14 Premier League games, which is only nine fewer than they let in their title-winning campaign last season.

Added to the poor goals against record, Chelsea club captain John Terry is 34-years-old and it’s only a matter of time before the Blues need to consider his replacement.
