# Liverpool targeting Ola Aina

Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on young Chelsea defender, Ola Aina according to [Adrian Kajumba of The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-three-way-transfer-tussle-6987046).

Jurgen Klopp’s side, along with Italian side Napoli and German club Borussia Dortmund, are keen on bringing in the 19-year-old as his contract expires in the summer.

Aina, who has recently been capped for the England U20 side, is naturally a right back, but he is versatile enough to play anywhere across the back four.

As the Aina’s contract will expire at the end of June, he’ll be able to start talking with other club’s in January about a summer move, and Liverpool are hopeful that their record of giving young players a chance in the first team will persuade the defender to make the move to Merseyside.

Aina has yet to make a competitive appearance for Chelsea, although he did feature in pre-season. He was also an unused substitute in the Blues’ League Cup win over Walsall in late September.

Chelsea fans will be hoping Aina is able to secure a new deal at Chelsea, after some promising displays in the youth ranks, Aina is held in high regard at Stamford Bridge.
