# Oscar says Chelsea need to keep their confidence

Oscar says Chelsea are now in a very important period of time for the club, following their 2-0 victory over Porto in the Champions League.

Speaking to the [club’s official website](https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/12/oscar--important-period.html?), Oscar says Chelsea must now continue to show that level of performance in the Premier League. He also speaks about how Jose Mourinho motivated them before the game.

He said:

> Because everyone knew it was an important game we were very concentrated, we knew we needed to win, everybody was confident and we played better.

Oscar started in as Chelsea’s number 10 on Wednesday night and put in a good performance in front of the Stamford Bridge faithful before being substituted with 10 minutes left on the clock.

The Brazilian added:

> The manager said to stay confident and show our quality. The team played very well and we won the game. We need to play like this in the Premier League as well, we need to win our next game, it’s very important for us.

Following the win, Chelsea now travel to Premier League leaders, Leicester City on Monday night in a very important game for the Blues. Chelsea could if results don’t go their way, start that game in 19th position.

Oscar said:

> We need to win two or three games (in a row) to keep the confidence, the win against Porto was important for everyone. It’s difficult when we lose a game, for the players and Jose.

> We now need to focus on the Premier League and play like we did against Porto.

After losing their last Premier League outing against Bournemouth, a victory will be Chelsea’s main priority.
