# Savage: Terry was awful

They’re at it again, Robbie Savage has been criticising John Terry’s performance against Leicester City last night.

According to the [Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/626864/Robbie-Savage-Chelsea-John-Terry), Savage, speaking on BBC Radio 5Live, was highly critical of the defender.

Savage said:

> I’m going to criticise John Terry again because he’s the captain of that team and they looked a better side when he went off. If he wants to question me again I don’t really care because tonight he was awful once again.

Terry was hauled off in the second half for Cesc Fabregas with Chelsea reverting to a back three as they went in search of goals against the now league leaders, Leicester.

The Chelsea captain came under criticism for Leicester’s goals and wouldn’t have been happy with his performance, that is for sure.

The pair recently clashed with words after Savage criticised Terry, only for Terry to [respond](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/10054481/watch-chelsea-captain-john-terrys-reaction-to-robbie-savage-criticism) by claiming he’ll only listen to criticism from the best players.

In the end, Chelsea lost 2-1 to Claudio Ranieri’s men, who leapfrogged Arsenal to move to the top of the Premier League. Chelsea sit 16th in the Premier League and will now prepare to face Sunderland on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
