# Forward dismisses rumours suggesting he’s unhappy at Chelsea

Chelsea forward Pedro has dismissed rumours that he is unhappy at the club, despite a difficult first season in English football.

The Spaniard has scored just three times in 18 games in all competitions, and after a promising debut against West Brom, he struggled to make a huge impact as Chelsea struggled in the league,

However, his difficult first few months have not put doubts in the mind of the 28-year-old and he told [Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/pedro-insists-he-is-happy-at-chelsea-and-is-looking-forward-to-working-with-hiddink-a3142591.html) that stories saying he is unsettled at the London club are wide of the mark.

> I’m happy here. This information that I’m not is false. I am very satisfied to be here in this club. I am happy with the supporters and this team. Obviously the situation is not good but together it is possible for us to climb the table.

Pedro also spoke about Guus Hiddink, the man who will take charge of the team on an interim basis after the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

The former Barcelona man said he had already had a brief chat with his new boss and said that he is confident that the club chose the right man to steady the ship.

> Guus Hiddink is a very good coach and I am sure the club are confident about him. He spoke with me after the Sunderland game for a minute in Spanish and I had a good feeling. For me it was perfect. He was telling me is happy here and with the team.
