# Two Premier League clubs make contact with Remy

Both Crystal Palace and Newcastle United have made contact with Chelsea and Loic Remy over a possible move during the January transfer window.

Widespread reports have suggested that Chelsea are ready to let the French striker go after a lack of game time since joining the club from QPR last season.

According to the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/crystal-palace-join-aston-villa-7117115), Palace have made contact with the club and are readying a bid believed to be in the region of £6m, below Chelsea’s value of the striker. Palace are keen to keep their bid low given Remy’s age.

As well as Palace, Newcastle have also reportedly made their initial contact over a possible six-month loan deal for the striker.![Clive Mason/Getty Images Sport](https://cdn.readeverything.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/501997190.jpg)

RMC reporter, Mohamed Bouhafsi, tweeted this earlier today.

The tweet translates to: “NUFC Is in talks with the # Rémy entourage for a loan of 6 months! Remy gives one week of reflection!”

Remy will be given a week to decide upon on the offer, with the striker not short of suitors in the Premier League.
