# Terry invited Scunthorpe players into the home dressing room

After a long hard battle with the Premier League side, Chelsea captain, John Terry invited the players of the League One side into the home dressing room.

As reported by the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3392888/Chelsea-captain-John-Terry-invites-Scunthorpe-players-home-dressing-room-FA-Cup-clash-Stamford-Bridge.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490), Terry invited the players following the final whistle after entering the away dressing room when the Scunthorpe players had finished debating a possible penalty appeal when van Veen was tripped by Brazilian midfielder Ramires.

The players went in for a chat and an exchange of signed shirts and footballs.

The League One side made an impression on their visit to Stamford Bridge with a disciplined and hard working defensive performance as they attempted to upset the odds against Guus Hiddink’s side.

Mark Robins’ side made an impression on the interim Chelsea boss, who confirmed Scunthorpe made the Premier League champions “shiver” despite what looked like a routine 2-0 victory on paper for Chelsea, with goals coming from Diego Costa and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

> They had a good celebration in our locker room, together with our players, these are difficult games. It was their final. They made us shiver a bit. They wanted to exchange the shirts. It was a big day for them and for us, because we wanted to go into the next round.
