# Rahman frustrated with sub role at Chelsea

Summer signing, Abdul Baba Rahman has admitted he is beginning to get frustrated with the lack of game time at Chelsea.

Speaking to the German paper, [Bild](https://sportbild.bild.de/fussball/international/international/chelseas-baba-ich-habe-genug-von-der-tribuene-44118278.sport.html), Rahman has been speaking about life at Chelsea, the sacking of Jose Mourinho and exactly how he is adapting to life in the Premier League.

After signing from Bundesliga side, Augsburg in the summer for a potential [£22m](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3200159/Chelsea-complete-21-7million-signing-Augsburg-left-Baba-Rahman.html), Rahman came into the club with high expectations. However, it has not worked out that way for the Ghanian left-back.

He has been limited to only a handful of appearances, most of which coming in cups and the Champions League.

Unfortunately for Rahman, that does not look like changing anytime soon, with both Ivanovic and Azpilicueta enjoying a good run of form since Guus Hiddink’s arrival at the club.

Rahman said:

> Of course it’s frustrating for any footballer to sit in the stands. As a young player you have to get used to accustom a big club and this world-class league.

Despite the lack of game time, the defender feels he has settled well and the club:

> In my view, the first half year was quite okay. But the second I will definitely play more.

Rahman will full of praise for former manager, Jose Mourinho:

> He has given me repeatedly tips on how I can improve in the offensive and defensive. I liked him from the first moment and I wish every player a coach like him.

He admitted that the London life is slightly different to what it is like in Germany:

> Everything is more than one number bigger. London is a metropolis and the club one of the best in the world. That’s a big change compared to Augsburg.
