Chelsea are thought to be strong admirers of Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino, according to the Independent.
The name of the Tottenham boss has been added to Chelsea’s shortlist as they hunt for a new manager to replace Guus Hiddink at the end of the season, with the club looking to build a less confrontational image.
The Blues are keen on the manager, Chelsea officials are thought to be interested in the possibility of implementing his style of play at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino is very well known for the high work rate and pressing of his teams, as well as his ability and willingness to bring through youth players. He has done both at Southampton and Tottenham.
According to the report, Pochettino is one of five managers on the shortlist.
Other managers included are thought to be Diego Simeone, Jorge Sampaoli, Didier Deschamps and Antonio Conte. However, both Deschamps and Conte are under contract with national teams until July.
Manchester United are also thought to be interested in the Spurs boss as speculation surrounds the future of Louis van Gaal.
The Argentine has provided debuts to the likes of Delle Alli and Joshua Onomah this season. Alli, the former MK Dons midfielder, is playing a crucial role in Tottenham’s success this season.
