Two Chelsea youth players have reacted angrily on Instagram to the news that Matt Miazga has signed for the club.

Both Josimar Quintero and Kasey Palmer left the same comment on the club’s official Instagram page, in reply to the club announcing the arrival of the American.

The players seem to suggest that young Jake Clarke-Salter deserved a chance in the first team, rather than the club signing youngsters from abroad, as the club’s youth policy remains to be questioned.

Whilst it is acceptable for Quintero and Palmer support their friend and team-mate, questions have to be asked as to why they decided to post the comments they did.

After days of reports, Miazga joined the club from MLS side, New York Red Bulls for a reported fee believed to be around £3m.

The 20-year-old signs a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge and the reaction of the youth players will not make it any easier for the youngster to adapt to life at Chelsea.
