Incoming Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte will reportedly try to sign N’Golo Kante once he is appointed as the next Blues boss.
According to the Mirror, the Italian is a big fan of the French midfielder who has been a star in the middle of Leicester’s side who have taken the Premier League by storm.
Kante, who has drawn comparisons to Chelsea’s former iconic French international, Claude Makelele, only joined Leicester in the summer for merely £5.6m from the French side, Caen.
The player has quickly made himself one of the stars of the Premier League this season, with some calling him the signing of the season.
The report suggests that the player had been identified as a summer target long before a deal to bring the former Juventus manager to Stamford Bridge next season was made, however, Conte’s arrival may be the final touches in a possible deal.
Kante could be seen as a like for like replacement for Ramires, who left the club in January.
