# Chelsea open talks with Serie A goalkeeper

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with Inter Milan regarding their Slovenian goalkeeper, Samir Handanovic, according to [Football Italia](https://www.football-italia.net/84689/chelsea-v-arsenal-handanovic), who quote La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 31-year-old is ready to leave Inter Milan after they failed to qualify for the Champions League next season. Handanovic has never played in the competition and is looking for a move away from the club this summer.

The report suggests that Inter director, Piero Ausilio flew to London during the week to hold talks with two Premier League clubs.

A move could cost Chelsea between £10-£13m according to the report, with both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain also holding an interest in the goalkeeper.

Handanovic is the next in a long list of players from the Serie A to be [linked](https://readchelsea.com/2016/05/10/chelsea-make-23m-bid-for-midfielder/) with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
