# Chelsea’s last five Premier League opening fixtures

Wednesday 15th July brings around the fixture list for the 16/17 Premier League season, and what a campaign it could potentially be for the Blues.

Under the new leadership of Antonio Conte, Chelsea will be looking to right their wrongs of the previous season, which was a disaster for all involved.

The opening day of any season is exciting for fans across the world, and views on who the opposition should be is a matter of preference.

Would you prefer to get your campaign underway against a Manchester City side who are now managed by Pep Guardiola, or start against a newly-promoted side who are new to the league, but will want to get off to a good start? It’s all an opinion.

After the news that the Blues start their 2016-17 season off against West Ham, here at Read Chelsea, we have had a look at the Blues’ previous five opening games to a season, with results and goalscorers included.

Take a look for yourselves.
