# Chelsea target Barbosa to make decision soon

Chelsea target Gabriel Barbosa has claimed that he will make a decision on his future very soon, according to [ESPN](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2913753/santos-gabriel-barbosa-says-decision-will-be-made-on-his-future-soon).

The 19-year-old striker has been heavily [linked](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-hopes-landing-transfer-target-8415951) with a move to Chelsea, but the Blues face competition from Barcelona and Juventus. Both Barcelona and Juventus can offer Champions League football, which may give them an advantage in negotiations.

However, the Premier League is a very alluring league and the young Brazilian could be swayed into joining Antonio Conte’s team.

The young striker has been likened to Neymar in the sense that he comes from Santos in Brazil and is a highly-rated young forward. He has played 151 games for Santos, scoring 55 goals in that time – a record not all too dissimilar to that of Neymar’s league record in Brazil.

Chelsea will be hoping that Barbosa makes the decision to join Chelsea and bolster their attacking ranks.

This is what the youngster said when speaking about his future:

> No, there is still no agreement. The president ended up talking, but there is nothing confirmed. We are just talking. My parents and my representatives are talking. They have some things to discuss. I have proposals, too, but there’s nothing confirmed yet.
