# Chelsea ease past local side in behind-closed-doors friendly

New summer signing Michy Batshuayi scored his first goals in a Chelsea shirt as the Blues cruised past local Austrian side Atus Ferlach 8-0 in a pre-season friendly held behind-closed-doors, the [club’s official website](https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2016/07/blues-cruise.html) revealed.

Antonio Conte’s third game in charge saw him shuffle the pack following Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over WAC RZ Pellets, with the Italian starting a completely different 11 to those who started in Wolfsberg.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek started in what appears to be a 4-4-1-1 formation in the first-half, playing just behind striker Loic Remy who opened the scoring and grabbed his first goal of pre-season.

A rare John Obi-Mikel goal doubled the lead before Remy netted his second of the game and Chelsea’s third before half-time.

Conte made six changes at the interval, introducing Gary Cahill, Juan Cuadrado, Cesc Fabregas and Pedro, all returning from international duty, Cristian Cuevas and Batshuayi.

And the new signing scored with his first touch after Loftus-Cheek’s shot was parried, breaking his pre-season duck for the club.

The Belgian scored his second goal sandwiched in between two Pedro strikes to make it seven before Remy completed his hat-trick after an impressive delivery from Cuadrado to round-off the performance.

The Blues will now travel to the U.S. to face Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan in the International Champions Cup, before a final pre-season outing against Werder Bremen eight days prior to the opening Premier League fixture against West Ham.
