# Courtois angry with Hazard’s tricks against Gibraltar

Despite Belgium cruising to 6-0 victory over Gibraltar in their latest World Cup qualifying fixture, ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois was not happy with his fellow countryman and Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard during the match, as reported by  [The Metro.](https://metro.co.uk/2016/10/11/chelsea-star-eden-hazard-slammed-by-teammate-thibaut-courtois-for-showboating-6185128/)

Hazard scored and assisted one of Christian Benteke’s three goals on the night, meaning the winger has now provided an assist in his last seven appearances for Belgium and it was the first time he had scored back-to-back goals for the Red Devils.

However, it seems Courtois was less than impressed with Hazard at times during the match, criticising his attempts to pull off tricks in unnecessary situations.

He said:

> I was angry with Eden Hazard because he tried a back heel in a part of the pitch where he shouldn’t have. I absolutely wanted to keep a clean sheet. I yelled to everyone understood that we had to stay sharp. We had little to gain here.

Courtois’ cause for concern with Hazard’s tricks is still a mystery as Belgium had kept a clean sheet in their last two qualifiers, while the home side had only scored twice in their last 11 fixtures.

And they failed to scored once again as Belgium ran away with the match in comfortable fashion after Benteke scored the fastest goal in World Cup qualifying history in just seven seconds.
