# West Ham want to loan Ruben Loftus-Cheek

West Ham are interested in taking Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a six-month loan when the January transfer window opens, according to Matt Law of [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/11/16/slaven-bilics-unlikely-friendship-with-chelsea-counterpart-anton/).

The hierarchy at Chelsea obviously think very highly of Loftus-Cheek but with their being no European football at Stamford Bridge this season added to the fact that they are no longer in the League Cup there aren’t many games in which he’s going to play.

Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante are the clear first choice partnership for the Blues and as such, the 20-year-old will find game time difficult to come by.

Law reports that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and West Ham boss Slaven Bilic have forged a friendship with their teams having already met each other twice this season and the relationship has apparently led to West Ham making an approach for Loftus-Cheek.

The England U21 international has a bright future ahead of him and would be a handy addition to West Ham’s squad and Chelsea could reap the future benefits of him getting game time in the Premier League.
