# Cesc Fabregas is happy at Chelsea according to Pedro

Much maligned Spanish playmaker Cesc Fabregas is reportedly happy at Chelsea despite reports linking him with a move away, according to fellow Spaniard and Chelsea player Pedro, who was speaking on Spanish station, [Radio Estadio](https://www.ondacero.es/programas/radioestadio/audios-podcast/entrevistas/pedro-rodriguez-siempre-es-una-alegria-poder-estar-en-la-seleccion-y-defender-a-tu-pais_201611205831f3510cf24c3ff69b973a.html).

Fabregas has been knocked down the pecking order by the industrious midfield partnership of Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante, who have helped the Blues to six consecutive wins and six consecutive clean sheets.

This has led to clubs like AC Milan to be linked with a move for the midfielder, with a loan deal seen as the most beneficial solution for the 28-year-old.

> He is fine, he is quiet. Obviously his situation is difficult but he is training very well and the relationship with the teammates is perfect. Surely he will have an opportunity because he is a great player. We all know how good he is. He is happy here, he is content and let’s see if he can have more opportunities in the future.

Fabregas played a pivotal role in a 3-2 win over Southampton, for the Chelsea U23s on Tuesday.

Although Fabregas was one of the several senior players taking part in the game, as veteran captain John Terry and Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi played alongside returning long-term injury worries Kurt Zouma and Marko Van Ginkel.

Batshuayi grabbed a brace, whilst Van Ginkel, previously heralded as the heir to Frank Lampard’s throne, struck a wonderful last minute winner. Fabregas also grabbed himself an assist on the day and will be hoping that he can push for a starting spot more regularly.
