# Chelsea ready to loan out Ruben Loftus-Cheek

According to the [London Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-ready-to-let-ruben-loftuscheek-leave-on-loan-with-brighton-and-west-ham-interested-a3432346.html), Chelsea are now prepared to let midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek leave on loan for the rest of the season.

Loftus-Cheek broke into the Chelsea first-team set-up in 2015 as an 18-year-old and has been handed opportunities in the first-team by Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink but has found game time hard to come by under Antonio Conte, making just three appearances and playing just nine minutes of Premier League football this season.

Chelsea are sounding out offers from Championship clubs and have received an enquiry from Brighton for the England U21 international but West Ham remain interested in the player.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has a strong friendship with Antonio Conte and hopes to use this to his advantage in talks over signing some of Chelsea’s fringe players like Loftus-Cheek, as well as striker Michy Batshuayi.

However, Chelsea want assurances that Loftus-Cheek will play regular first-team football, something West Ham cannot guarantee given the options they have in midfield, making a move to England’s second tier more likely.
