Courtois angling for Madrid return
According to reports in Spain from Don Balon, Thibaut Courtois is set on making a move back to Spain, with Real Madrid linked to the Belgium number one.
Real Madrid were previously linked with United shot-stopper David de Gea but failed to submit paperwork in time. Since then, the Spaniard has committed his future to United.
Courtois has two more seasons left on his contract with Chelsea, but the Blues will be aware that they may have to sell before his market value plummets, should he not sign a new contract.
The towering Belgian has impressed in Spain, conceding just 15 goals in 22 league games this season, as Chelsea look to storm their way to the title.
It is reported that he urging his agent to sort a transfer out so he can move in the summer.
Courtois spent three years at Atletico Madrid on loan from Chelsea earlier in his career, where he enjoyed success both domestically and in Europe.
His girlfriend and daughter still live in the city, and he is keen to move back to be closer to them.
