# Kante has been a “revelation” says Lampard

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has hailed N’Golo Kante and believes the midfielder has been “a revelation” this season, as reported by the [Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/593537/Chelsea-news-Frank-Lampard-hails-NGolo-Kante-impact-Stamford-Bridge).

Kante made the £30 million move to Stamford Bridge in the summer after winning the league with Leicester last season and has gone from strength to strength under Antonio Conte this season.

The Frenchman was named as the Premier League Player of the Year at the London Football Awards last week, and Lampard was full of praise for the industrious midfielder.

> He’s a fantastic player. I haven’t seen him have a bad game yet, he covers ground, wins the ball quickly, wins tackles, arrives occasionally, his energy is second to none.

Lampard was speaking at the LFA’s on Thursday last week after picking up an award himself, winning the Outstanding Contribution to London Football trophy.

And the former Chelsea midfielder believes the fee the Blues paid for Kante is a “bargain” considering how expensive some players are in the modern game.

> He gets around everywhere and he has been a revelation, a bargain buy in the current market.

The Blues are currently seven points clear at the top of the Premier League but could extend that lead back to ten points with victory over West Ham on Monday night.
