Possible destinations for John Terry
Chelsea Football Club today confirmed that defensive stalwart John Terry will leave the club at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign and it’s now nailed on that he will seek pastures new when the summer transfer window opens.
However, at the age of 36, he is in the twilight stage of his playing career and will seek to find consistent first-team football elsewhere. This would often be hard to come by for a player of Terry’s age but given his quality and experience of the top flight, he certainly won’t be short of potential suitors.
Terry has spent 22 years with the Blues and during his tenure at Stamford Bridge, has won an impressive 14 major honours. This tally includes one Champions League, one Europa League and an excellent four Premier League titles, which could become five in May.
Here are some potential destinations for Terry after Chelsea.
