# Michael Hector being courted by host of clubs

Chelsea defender Michael Hector is becoming the subject of a Premier League interest.

According to the [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/transfer-news-aston-villa-tracking-12947460), West Ham, Sunderland and Everton have sent scouts to watch Hector as they plot an approach. Championship side Aston Villa have also watched the defender.

Hector is currently on loan to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, and has made 18 league appearances so far this season.

This comes after signing from Reading last season, where he spent the remainder of the season on loan, where he made 21 Championship appearances.

Hector signed for Chelsea in 2015 but is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club, after being immediately loaned back to his former club when he signed for the Blues.

Now 24-years-old, he is unlikely to ever break into the Chelsea first-team and could be looking for a permanent move to further his career.

Hector has three years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge and the report does not hint at whether he is open to leaving.
