# PSG ready move for Chelsea target Tiemoue Bakayoko

Adding another central midfielder appears to be top of Antonio Conte’s summer wishlist and one player who has been perennially linked with a move to Stamford Bridge is Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The AS Monaco standout has made a name for himself in the elite footballing circles following his impressive displays in the Champions League this season, most notably during the last 16 win over Manchester City.

Chelsea are said to be readying a £40m move to sign the French defensive midfielder to partner compatriot N’Golo Kante in the Blues’ engine room but it’s believed that [PSG are ready to rival them](https://www.insidefutbol.com/2017/05/02/paris-saint-germain-in-big-push-for-chelsea-and-manchester-united-targeted-midfielder/335288/) in their pursuit of the player.

Representatives of the midfielder are believed to have held talks with PSG regarding a summer transfer and Bakayoko is tempted by the prospect of a return to Paris where he’s from.

Under contract until 2019, it appears the time is now for Monaco to cash-in on one of their rising young stars as Europe’s top-level clubs begin to circle.
