# Serie A side confirm bid from ‘foreign’ club for Chelsea target

Sassuolo have confirmed that they have received a bid from a foreign club for Chelsea target Domenico Berardi.

[Football Italia](https://www.football-italia.net/104154/sassuolo-berardi-offer-abroad) reports that director Giovanni Carnevali confirmed an ‘important opportunity’ whilst speaking on Sky Sports Italia.

“There are numerous possibilities for Berardi,” Carnevali explained. “There is always this talk of Inter and Roma, today we received an important opportunity for him from a foreign club.

“Our desire is to keep him, but we know that faced with certain offers – and based on what the player wants – it might be difficult to keep hold of him.

“These are evaluations we need to make with the player himself.”

The winger has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the past with Antonio Conte thought to be a huge admirer of the Italian.

Inter Milan and Juventus are also thought to be interested in the player.

The 22-year-old scored five times in Serie A last season and also created nine assists in the league.

With Sassuolo finishing mid-table and on the brink of losing key man Lorenzo Pellegrini to AS Roma, Berardi may be tempted with a move away himself.

It’s not yet clear whether or Chelsea are the ‘foreign’ club being discussed, but he is a player that Conte will undoubtedly be interested in if he becomes available.
