# Chelsea reportedly keen to land Marchisio

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to bring Claudio Marchisio to Stamford Bridge this summer.

According to a report from [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/chelsea-boss-conte-wants-third-juventus-star-29839) today, the Italian boss is attracted by the prospect of reuniting with Marchisio at Chelsea and is keen to make him one of his summer signings.

Chelsea are well built in terms of midfield options, with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic at Conte’s disposal, but this hasn’t stopped him from expressing an interest in the 31-year-old Italian international.

Marchisio struggled last season off the back of a serious, long-term knee injury and therefore only made 15 appearances. However, he is without a doubt an impressive talent and one that would bring an immense amount of experience and class to the Blues’ midfield.

The Juventus midfielder has three years remaining on his current deal in Turin and although he has dropped down the pecking order since his unfortunate injury, he’s sure to be a player of big value in Turin.
