# Rudiger deal to be finalised in next 48 hours

AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger is expected in London today or tomorrow to have a medical with Chelsea and sign for Antonio Conte’s side, according to the [Italian media](https://sportwitness.co.uk/antonio-rudiger-agent-flies-england-likelihood-seal-transfer-chelsea/).

Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Rudiger’s agent which is also his brother has flown to England and is expected to be joined by Antonio in the next 48 hours to seal a move to Stamford Bridge, with the deal worth up to €38 million plus add-ons.

There have been reports that Pep Guardiola wants to hijack the move at the last minute and bring the German to Manchester, but those reports have been deemed ‘not credible’ by AS Roma officials and they expect Rudiger to be a Chelsea player in the coming days.

Rudiger is returning from Russia with his national side after he helped them to win the Confederations Cup, starting in both the semi-final and final wins.
