# Chelsea’s deal for Bakayoko stalls

Chelsea could be poised to miss out on yet another top target this summer, with their proposed deal to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko stalling.

According to a report from the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4674640/Chelsea-transfer-window-Blues-Lukaku.html), the Blues have encountered more complications than initially expected in their pursuit of the Frenchman, and a deal to land him this summer has been left in limbo.

Antonio Conte is stated to be a big admirer of Bakayoko, with the Italian being a fan of his energy and combative style of play.

However, although a deal to sign the Monaco man appeared to be awaiting only confirmation last week, the move is stalling. [Manchester United have also been linked](https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiF87v19_zUAhXpI8AKHezwBl8QqUMIKDAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fmetro.co.uk%2F2017%2F07%2F08%2Fmanchester-united-could-beat-chelsea-to-tiemoue-bakayoko-transfer-6765198%2F&usg=AFQjCNGEWTArS8znlYMI05ZDy1_mm9GCaA) with a move for the Frenchman.

Chelsea appear to have already lost out on a key target this summer, with Romelu Lukaku set to complete a switch to Manchester United.

Bakayoko is rated at around £35m by Monaco and the Blues will be keen to push through a move in the near future.
