# Sassuolo listening to offers for Chelsea target Berardi

Chelsea don’t have many options in the wide forward areas outside of Eden Hazard and Pedro, and Antonio Conte has made is a summer priority to bring in another attacker or two into the squad.

One player the Blues are [reportedly keen on signing](https://readchelsea.com/2017/06/15/serie-a-side-confirm-bid-from-foreign-club-for-chelsea-target/) is Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, with an offer from an unnamed foreign club on the table for the Italian.

The 22-year-old played a role in 14 goals in Serie A last season (four goals, nine assists), proving that he can not only score goals but create them as well for his teammates.

Chelsea are [rumoured to be working on a £20m deal](https://metro.co.uk/2017/05/08/antonio-conte-confident-chelsea-can-complete-domenico-berardi-transfer-6623476/) for Berardi, who are [listening to offers](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/sassuolo-will-listen-to-offers-for-chelsea-inter-roma-targets-81811) for their star attacker, according to [Sassuolo’s sporting director, Giovanni Carnevali](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/carnevali-berardi-ascoltiamo-offerte-defrel-la-roma-sa-cosa-vogl-75747).

“We’re not forcing anyone \[out\], but it’s clear that the offers need to be acceptable. I hope that Domenico stays, and not just him, but we’re ready to talk to anyone.”

Conte is also believed to be interested in signing Real Madrid pair Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez after missing out on Romelu Lukakuto Manchester United.
