# Chelsea keen to land Southampton duo

Chelsea are reportedly looking to bounce back quickly from the disappointment of missing out on Danilo, and are keen to land Southampton full-back duo Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand.

According to the [Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-pursue-alternate-wing-back-options-after-danilo-completes-manchester-city-transfer-a3594081.html) today, the Blues are particularly keen on the Saints pair and are contemplating summer swoops for them.

Southampton have been clear in their stance that no key players will be sold this summer, but with Virgil van Dijk looking likely to go to Liverpool, Chelsea are keen to also prise away a star player or two from them.

Cedric has gone from strength to strength on the south coast and has established himself as one of the best Premier League right-backs in recent times, while Bertrand is well-known to Chelsea fans for his all-round ability and ties to the club.

If Saints are to sell the pair this summer, they are sure to demand top dollar, with both having signed new deals last summer.
