Drogba played for the American club and is a huge admirer of Tabla and is confident that he can become a success with Premier League champions Chelsea.

The youngster has broken into the Canada international youth setup but is said to be considering a switch of allegiance to Ivory Coast, which is where he was born.

The youngster is under contract at Montreal until December 2018 and has become a regular in the first team after making an impressive 17 appearances this season.

The Blues are yet to register concrete interest in Tabla but he is also being monitored by Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg and French side Lille as his reputation increases.

Manager Antonio Conte is still looking for an attacker to help out new signing Alvaro Morata with Fernando Llorente looking like the most likely man.
