# Chelsea said to be interested in Toljan

Chelsea are reportedly interested in Hoffenheim full-back Jeremy Toljan.

According to a report from [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/10961622/tottenham-keen-on-hoffenheim-defender-jeremy-toljan) today, the [Hoffenheim](https://readbundesliga.com/) defender is a target for the Blues, along with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Toljan has enjoyed a brilliant year with the [Bundesliga](https://readbundesliga.com/) club, and has made his mark on the European stage. He impressed for Germany’s Under-21 side at the European Championships and was one of their key players.

The defender, who is capable of playing at both right and left back, is particularly interesting [Tottenham](https://readtottenham.com/), who are keen to replace Kyle Walker this summer.

At [Hoffenheim](https://readbundesliga.com/), his contract expires next summer, so a cut-price deal could be available. This would surely be attractive to potential suitors, and while his market value in Germany is said to be worth only £3m, Julian Nagelsmann’s side would surely demand more for such a promising player.

Chelsea have reportedly scouted Toljan already, with them having cast a keen eye over his progress last season, and a move wouldn’t come as too much of a surprise because of this.
