# Chelsea see new bid for Alex Sandro rejected

Antonio Conte is desperate to land a full-back this summer and has so far failed in his efforts.

Benjamin Mendy, Kyle Walker and Danilo were all targeted by Chelsea but all three players have made big-money moves to Manchester City.

Juventus left-back Alex Sandro is another that Conte has been tracking all summer but the Blues have had their latest offer of £53.7m turned down by the Serie A side, [TMW](https://www.transfermarketweb.com/?action=read&idsel=187378) claim.

Massimiliano Allegri is under no pressure to sell the Brazilian who is contracted to the club until 2020, but Chelsea are determined to sign him.

Chelsea don’t have much depth at wing-back outside of Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses, making signing a new one a top priority for Conte this summer.

With their latest offer for Sandro turned down, it remains to be seen whether the Blues will come in with a new offer or admit defeat in their pursuit of the player.

Southampton pair Ryan Bertrand and Cedric Soares, along with Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are potential alternatives for Chelsea.
