# Allegri insists Sandro will not be sold to Chelsea

Juventus defender Alex Sandro has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.

The Brazilian left-back enjoyed a mightily impressive campaign last term and subsequently attracted interest from Juventus’ fellow top clubs across Europe, with Chelsea being one.

However, speaking to the media after his side’s 2-0 friendly defeat away at Tottenham Hotspur today, Juventus boss Max Allegri dismissed reports of Sandro leaving the club.

The former Porto man is a vital cog in Allegri’s plans and this was shown by how key he was in the Italian side’s triumph in Serie A, along with their narrow defeat in the Champions League final.

Chelsea are clearly keen to add full-backs to the ranks this summer but it looks as though they will need to move on to other targets, with Sandro set for a stay at Juventus.
