# Chelsea willing to pay £35m for Oxlade-Chamberlain

Chelsea are ready to pay £35m for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

According to [The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelsea-ready-test-arsenals-resolve-10960461) Chelsea are very keen to sign the English international and are determined to sign him this month.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has told [Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/) boss Arsene Wenger that he will not be extending his contract with the club.

[Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/) have offered the winger a new deal but he is not prepared to commit his future to the Gunners.

This has prompted Chelsea to make their move for the England international, with Chelsea set to make there offer.

Oxlade-Chamberlain scored for England in their 2-2 draw with Scotland earlier this summer and impressed in the Community Shield against Chelsea last weekend.

The report claims that Chelsea are ready to make their offer of £35m, following a £25m earlier this week – which failed.

Antonio Conte wants Oxlade-Chamberlain to replace Victor Moses in his side, filling the right wing-back role in the Premier League.
