# Deportivo looking into Costa loan

Spanish side Deportivo are looking into the signing of Diego Costa on loan until January, according to [La Voz De Galicia](https://www.lavozdegalicia.es/noticia/torremarathon/2017/08/14/deportivo-estudio-incorporacion-diego-costa-vietto/00031502719164147970514.htm).

The report claims that Deportivo are looking to profit from Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban and sign Costa on loan until the forward can move to Madrid.

Costa is set to leave Chelsea this summer after a falling out with boss Antonio Conte and Atletico Madrid have been heavily linked with re-signing him.

However, there is a complication as Atletico are not able to officially sign any players until the next transfer window due a ban currently imposed upon them.

Atletico are now looking to sign Costa but loan him out until January, when he will be able to officially join the club.

Deportivo are said to be joining the race to sign him on a short-term deal as they look to strengthen their attack.

They have also made an offer for Atletico forward Luciano Vietto.
