# Chelsea eye move for Fernando Llorente

Chelsea tried to sign Fernando Llorente in January but were unable to compete a deal but manager Antonio Conte is still a huge fan of the Spaniard and is considering making another bid for him.

According to a report from John Percy of the [Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/08/25/chelsea-weigh-bid-fernando-llorente-remains-keen-antonio-conte/), Chelsea are set to make an offer of around £15million for the striker before the transfer window closes next week.

Swansea were reluctant to let the 32-year-old leave in January as they were battling to stay in the Premier League and didn’t have any replacements lined up.

However, they now look set to complete a move to take Wilfried Bony back to the Liberty Stadium and as such, Llorente could now become available.

Conte worked with the striker at Juventus and the duo are said to have a good relationship. Llorente is keen to make a switch to Stamford Bridge although it remains to be seen if the Swans are prepared to let him go.
