# Chelsea in talks to sign Llorente

Chelsea are in talks with Swansea over a deal for striker Fernando Llorente, according to [Sky Sports.](https://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre)

The report claims that the two clubs are discussing a potential deal for the striker, with Chelsea keen to bring him in to compete with Alvaro Morata.

Chelsea signed Morata for a club-record £70m and the forward has scored two goals in three Premier League games for the club so far, an impressive return.

However, Chelsea are still looking to bolster their attacking options, with a Champions League campaign to prepare for.

The allure of playing European football once again could be a tempting one for Llorente, despite the fact he would likely play less in the league.

If a deal goes through, Swansea will make a move for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, who started his career in England with the Swans.

Llorente scored 16 goals in the Premier League last season.
