# Diego Costa set for Fenerbahce loan deal

It appears Diego Costa will not be spending his Autumn watching from the stands at Chelsea.

The striker, who does not feature in Antonio Conte’s first-team plans, failed to finalise a return to Atletico Madrid this summer due to the Spanish club’s transfer ban and has been left in limbo.

Fortunately, the Turkish transfer window remains open and Costa has been in talks over a loan move to Fenerbahce for the last three days and they have progressed well.

According to [Hurriyet](https://www.hurriyet.com.tr/sporarena/galeri-fenerbahcede-son-dakika-diego-costa-40571194#page-1), Costa is set to arrive in Turkey soon to undergo a medical with Fenerbahce ahead of a loan move until January. It’s claimed that the Super Lig side will be covering 75% of Costa’s wages during the loan spell.

The Turkish transfer window is open until 8PM tomorrow evening so there is a race against the clock for Fenerbahce and Chelsea to hammer out the finer details of this deal.
