# Palmer set to be sidelined with hamstring injury

Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer could be ruled out until January with a serious hamstring injury.

Palmer is currently on loan at Huddersfield Town but has suffered a blow following a positive start to the campaign. The young midfielder was sent out to the Terriers as he looks to continue his progression with first-team football, but according to the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-4884608/Kasey-Palmer-injury-rules-Huddersfield-star-months.html), he could be sidelined until the new year.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner discussed Palmer’s injury and was evidently disappointed with the loss of a key player.

> Kasey came back with some problems from England Under 21s and after we made further investigations we’ve seen this is not a small problem, it’s a bigger problem.

> The injury he had last January, the tendons in his hamstrings, the injury is more or less as big as it was before, so we expect he’ll be out for a longer period.

> Now we have to make further investigations, but he will be out for a few months.

The report claims that Palmer is set to return to Chelsea to assess the injury, and is presumably likely to undergo rehabilitation at his parent club’s Cobham training centre.

Palmer has been in good form for Huddersfield prior to the knock sustained whilst on international duty. He had played a part in all four of their Premier League games so far.
