# Diego Costa has “no bitterness or resentment” towards Antonio Conte

Diego Costa has travelled to Spain ahead of completing his move to Atletico Madrid and has descrived the situation between him and Chelsea as ‘fine’, according to a report from the [Spanish media](https://en.as.com/en/2017/09/22/football/1506074632_416910.html).

Costa didn’t join up with the Chelsea squad for any of pre-season and hasn’t featured in a match day squad this campaign, spending most of his time back home in Brazil, with an apparent bust up between the forward and Antonio Conte the reason for his absence.

Talking to the Spanish media, the forward said that everything was fine between him and Chelsea and he refused to comment about boss Conte specifically,

> I’m not angry with anyone. I do not feel any bitterness or resentment towards anybody, everything’s fine.

The striker also spoke about how he still held the Chelsea fans in high regard.

> Everyone knows how much I love the fans.
