Antonio Conte has hinted that Ethan Ampadu could be called upon in the coming weeks following the injury to N’Golo Kante.
The French midfielder is due for a spell on the sidelines after coming off injured for his country during the international break.
Injuries mean that Chelsea are also without the likes of Danny Drinkwater, who joined in the summer from Leicester.

Ampadu came off the bench during Chelsea’s Carabao Cup win against Nottingham Forest earlier in the season and impressed on his debut.
The Welsh youngster joined in the summer from Exeter City after coming through the ranks with the Grecians.
Kyle Scott could also be called upon. The young midfielder was linked with a move away from the club in the summer, with Reading interested in a deal, but he was unable to complete a move away from Stamford Bridge due to the delays in the deal to sign Drinkwater.
